What a great week I had in Kansas City and Unity Village for the 9th annual Sound Connections music conference! I’ve been blessed to get to attend this event since the first one they had, and it’s an inspiring gathering of musicians, Music Directors, ministers, and other musical members of the Unity family from all over. We come together to share songs and ideas, teach and learn from each other, and return to our home churches refreshed, recharged and with some new tools for our toolbox.

Hosted by Richard Mekdeci and Sue Riley (Empower), Sound Connections is where I first met Penny Nichols, Sloan Wainwright, David Ault, and many more.

This year’s recipient of SC’s annual Grace Note award was the amazing singer/songwriter Daniel Nahmod.
